Remove as much existing felt and chippings as possible, paying particular attention to the upstands.

Remove any felt from brick or stonework, vent pipes, sky lights etc.

Check for any decaying decking and fascia boards and replace if required.

Lay Geotextile undercushion loosely on the roof making sure this does not overlap onto upstands/brickwork etc.

Roll out Butyl Sheet making sure you have the required overlaps. Fold the Butyl Sheet back from upstands and apply Butyl adhesive to the sheet and upstands and offer together for approximately 5 minutes, repeat this for securing to brick work etc. Please note any dressing work to be carried out round water outlets, vent pipes etc, can be carried out quickly and easily using Butyl dressing rubber tape and adhesive or alternatively we can supply custom made Butyl fittings.

Secure Plastosol edge trims to the appropriate edges using screws and caps supplied.

Lay an even layer of 20mm Washed Bank Gravel to a depth of 40mm across the whole flat roof area (available from most local builder's merchants).
A more detailed information sheet is supplied with each kit including easy to follow diagrams. No specialist tools required and no heat required as associated with felt roofs. Midland Butyl Limited also supply a Nationwide installation service if required.
