EPDM Single-Ply Roofing Systems

EPDM Roofing systems are known in the industry as superior roofing membranes with significant elasticity and extreme weather resistance. Such systems can have a lifespan in excess of 50 years. Being introduced over 30 years ago and there is now over 45 million square metres being installed in roof projects.

The properties in the material make it differ from other thermoplastic products in that it is not affected by varying temperatures and so does not crack, shrink or become brittle. The chemical stability means it will always return to its original dimensions after stretching. Despite decades of exposure to atmosphere, sunlight, UV radiation, chemical fallout, water or major temperature fluctuations, no ageing or changes in characteristics occur.

The Superseal EPDM roofing system is fully adhered to the substrate with the patented Thermabond hot air splicing technique being used to bond the widths together. This gives all welded seams the same elasticity, flexibility and strength as the membrane itself.

The system is suitable for substrates of bitumen felt, timber or concrete, making it ideal for both renovating old felt roofs and new builds guaranteeing watertight integrity. The fleece-backed membrane also provides a smooth, wrinkle-free installation.

This system also allows for accommodation of detail work including pipe sleeves, collars, corners, drain pipes etc.

This system is certified and fulfils the requirement of the British Board of Agrément - please see BBA Certicate No 92/2799.
